Honestly right now I see it as just a fad.  I think that people famous and non famous are getting married just for the sake of saying that they are getting married.  I know so many people that have recently gotten engaged one right after the other, and I know that each couple love one another, but I can't help but wonder if all these couples decided to get engaged just because their friends were doing it.  Now don't get me wrong or anything...I'm happy for them, but it just seems weird to me that these couples got engaged one right after the other.

I agree.  They have all the money they could possibly wish for so engagement rings and huge gourges weddings are affordable.  If everyone had that kind of money you would see a lot more weddings...I am sure of it.


@Ladybug everyone I know is getting married too but I think it's the age....My friends are all in their late 20's early 30's and that is usually when you are thinking family ....marriage....blah blah blah

I agree with you Buffy, for them, it is basically a fashion thing.


Unfirtunatly, as well for the "regular" pple like us, many decide to get married these days because it is kind of the right thing to do or to make everyone happy or worst, para darles la contraria. Specially the parents.


WRONG people, this is so wrong !!!!!!!


Marriage is suppose to be forever but sometimes pple changes and live change as well, it's sad but it does happen and that is something completely different of taking or not serioulsy the sacrament of marriage.

Well, talking celebrities, some do make a smart choice...such as getting pregnant right away...it guarantees some sort of income from the father in case that marriage dissipates.

Celebrities don't live in the same world as us regular Joes and Janes (or Juanitas). We have birthday parties, BBQs and quinceañeras. They have weddings. It's like a summer thing to do for them. Bigger cakes, I guess.

Marriage is not a fashion statement.

There are the odd celebrities who have been married for very long with the same person and truly believe in the notion of family.

Whether by coincidence or not.....many couples I know decided to get married in the past 2 years.....it's just the "thing to do" I guess.....Also, every generation has it's baby boomers too.....so I guess lately that's what's happening.....


But I do think that some couples just wanna be cool and get married when everyone else is....others are actually being sincere....
