Of course I will take at least six months off but I am not sure when I'll go back. I can't see myself staying at home for the entire year but we shall see.

ACTUALLY MAT LEAVE IS ONE YEAR PAID BUT NOW LEGALLY THE COMPANY HAS TO HOLD A POSITION IN THE PLACE IF YOU DECIDED TO TAKE THE SECOND YEAR AS WELL!!! THEY CAN ALSO OFFER YOU TO COME BACK PART TIME FOR THAT SECOND YEAR!!

Well if you have a husband that can afford to pay the mortgage, all the bills and at the same time afford to give you the lifestyle you want AND you don't mind taking 5 years off work then yeah staying at home with your kids until they are in school full time sounds like a good idea. Personally I fully intend on going back to work. I could probably stay home and still live the way I do now but I don't want to stay home for the next five years of my life. I don't want to depend on my husband to support our family alone. I also do not want to be off work for that long. My mom always worked a full time job while raising us. Her career was always important to her. I don't see anything wrong with that. I think I want to teach my daughter to be independant. I want to be her provider in every way. Raising children and working is something most women do these days and I think it's a good thing.

I don't believe in daycare or babysitting....unless desperate times call for desperate measures....only because the systems here SUCK....realistically and unfortunately this is the way it is.....and many parents count on babysitting and daycare to move up in life... Nobody will care for you children like you do!
I agree with you TOTALLY LB!!! But many people though and I feel they must make sure they research the daycare or person before placing their kids in their hands ...
@LG: nooooo not yet why?? you voluntering LMAO!!! I mean now instead of one year maternity itz 2 so why not
Hello hello! Ok, this is my curiosity .... Foro Members with kids: If you take your child to daycare, how much do they charge?? NEVER SENT MY KID TO DAYCARE If you have someone babysit, how much do you pay per week?? MY MOM, or MY SISTER or My AUNT used to take care for my kid, I used to pay them at that time between 100 to 150 Have you ever sent your child to like a summer camp during the day? If so, how much did you pay per day or week?? Usually between 120 to 140 it depends on the place No for all for members with kids and those without but thinking of children in the future How much are you willing to pay for daycare or babysitting?? What would you like to see in a daycare, babysitting area, or summer camp?? Ok, thanks in advance for your info!!! Please come again
I would want cameras all over the place and to be able to view my child via a website where you need a login and password to prevent any pedophiles from watching.
