I don't doubt that your parents kissed you on the lips only with pure love.  I know it's not like a sick twisted thing because I have friends that do it and that do it only out of love.  I just dont like it.  How you raise your children is a very personal thing ....my parents never kissed me on the lips and it was always a loving relationship....I don't do it either it's a personal choice....


You'll have the chance to experience it....when you get home after work and your son/daughter runs to you to kiss you...... no matter where it feels soooooo good that you won't turn your face....

No I will not change my mind I HATE IT!  It gives me the creeps.  My parents never kissed me on the lips and I will not kiss my child on the lips.  I kiss my parents on the cheek all the time and we hug all the time but I am sooooooooooo not into the lip kissing kids thing.  I totally get that it's harmless but I don't like it at all.


Just a couple of weeks ago I was at a gathering at a friends house and her cousin was over.  My friend's baby is like 4 months old and her cousin is around 26 and the biggest slut in T.O who knows where that ****ing mouth has been and sure enough she picks up the baby and kisses her on the mouth..ugh I just wanted to take the baby and run.


Of course from a parent to a child it's different but still I just don't like it and I personally wouldn't do it.

Do you still kiss them on the lips? If not, when did you stop? Was it ever a bit weird kissing your dad, especially? I just don't get it, but my family is not exactly touchy-feely kind of people. We hardly ever hug, if at all (not my mom, though. We always hug her, but that's as far as I'd go).

@ Jaime, nothing wrong with that. Es un beso cariñoso y no le veo nada malo. I don't remember how were the kisses with my parents but due to the extended family background, I wouldn't be surprised. I used to kiss my little tornados on the lips and no, it's not the same thing, done the same way, nor with the same thoughts that when you're giving a kiss to an adult, even just a simple kiss.

Yesterday I was watering my lawn and I saw one of my neighbours playing with his kids.
Before heading back to the house he kissed both his kids(boy and a girl) on the lips
I've seen this before mainly with european families and it turns my stomach everytime.
I don't why, but I know I would never do that to my kids.
Do any of kiss your parents on the lips or your kids on the lips?
