Mexican representative sacked over models adquisition

CNA, Ciudad Mexico, March 26, 2006

Jose Luis Arguelles, representative for Carros de Asia Ltd. in Morelos, was sacked last week by the company's regional board, according to Carros de Asia's spokeperson, Tom Isaboy.

"Arguelles did the wrong thing at the wrong time", said Isaboy, "a buyer should pay a bit more of attention to details like, say, local idioms, different as they are from the place where these models are designed".

The case goes back to Mr. Arguelles' decision to purchase 20 000 low maitenance, asian vehicles, split in two lots. Neither the
Nissan or the Mazda model were approved by the board. "The choosing was poor, if not plain stupid", said an unidentified source.

(pages with sound... nice music, at that)

"It's just plain wrong", added Isaboy. "We can't risk doing stupid things like that and winding up with 20 000 cars that none in his right mind in this country would buy".
