I currently work at a call center, and NO I'm not the one who's calling you or your house.
( I need to clear this b/c that's the first thing people ask me when they find out where I work )
Where should I begin.....
First of all my name is not Jenny, Danny, Penny, lenny. Or when I say ....chikki speaking how may I help you. I hear a voice that just says "SPELL IT" No, I'm sorry I didn't get your name, just "SPELL IT"

AAAAWWWRRRGGGG!!!!! I hate it when you pick up "hello?" and they answer "who's this?" i'm like, you called me guy, I should be asking that!!!!!
On that same token.....when they call your Cell and they are like "[yourname] is that you???"....Its my cell who the hell you think is answering my phone....specially after they tell you that they are going to call me back!!!!
I've been getting some calls from collectors..... ()
and I answer the phone by greeting, then "my name speaking.... and the people still ask if they can talk to me....so I say he's not here at the moment, may take a message...LOL
and the guy's like "sure could you please tell him to gimmie a call".....
and they get paid for that....

i hate dealing with americans over the phone!!lol and ur right those down south hicks are the worst to understand
not only americans.. people in general... or when they ask you in the morning.. how are you... wait for my f***ing response before walking away... otherwise don't bother asking me
"Good morning InterTan, The Source by Circuit City, Erika speaking" Yup, that's what I had to say working at the central office!! I ALWAYS got interrupted. When I would say, "Erika speaking" they would say, "Hi Ang! Can I speak to Jenn?"
I hate it when people call you....and they don't listen.....
Even something as simple as the greeting.
For example:
- "Good afternoon ICON"
- "Hi is this Smith Brothers???" (stereotypical southern accent)
WTF!?!?!?
I used to work at a call centre.....and that would drive me insane.....I find that Americans tend to do it the most.....but Canadian are not far behind.
