But there's always light at the end of the tunnel, right? Look at you now, just barely four years later, you even co-directed your first short film! Good for you!!!

My mother says that when it rains it pours. (Aqui entre nos, I don't think that phrase is hers... it sounds like she CC'd it from somewhere... probably DJ Nash )

I've had so many jobs. I got some after quitting fridays and starting mondays at others. (When there were lots of jobs here). I worked for 8 years in a company which closed after 35 in the country ( they kept theirs in the States though, it was a U.S company). So after so many years without attending school I decided to go back to College.  It wasn't easy, I had taken some high school credits while working at night but I wasn't ready to study full time. ANyways I graduated and worked 3 co-op placements ( while keeping a minimum GPA), and I didn't borrow much from OSAP. About a month after graduation I got a job, and then another in which  I was laid -off  but I'm still working  for the same company doing something else and I wish I had another job.  Wish me luck cause rigth now there are not that many.

Tengo que ser optimista como dijo Lathina, jejeje

This is definitely the longest I've ever been unemployed. What is it now? Since July 2004. I wasn't working before because I wasn't entitled to work in Canada. I just became "legal" last November and now I suck at finding a job. I do have an appointment at the Employment Assitance Services tomorrow. I hope they can help me. Wait, I have to be optimistic.

You have every reason to be optimistic, nerd.

Things always work out.

I've been unemployed around 6 months back in '98 and it was the worst part of my life. I was dying to work and going crazy cleaning the small appt at least 10 times a day.

I was looking all the time but pple were kind of "worried" about the fact that I had a work visa, the cost it might generate for them, bla bla bla, pure B.S

Beside that, I've been working since I was 15 and always enjoyed it. No, wait, that's a lie, I hate my current position. Company is great and everything but my tasks are so boring but so far, it pays the bills

I got here in June of '89 I forget the date, but I think it was a friday, i started working on monday.... I have NEVER been unemployed since, went through 2 jobs before opening my own bussiness in early '90 (plus a part time at an airline, along the way) so that might explain a lot

I'm sure a lot of you have a lot of these stories. You're been unemployed, looking for work for a few weeks or even months; had bad interviews (i.e. Colo QT); got jobs that were not that great but put food on your table. That kind of thing. What are some bad/good/horror stories that you have? What's the longest you've been unemployed? What did you do? Did you find work through regular avenues or did you do something totally out of left field?
