Not really...

what's next... give me break at work cause I fought with my best friend, lover, son, daughter, mother, father???

If / Whenever I have issues, I just keep them to myself... would be ashamed/embarrased to even tell anyone... no one's business.

The only time it should become a work issue is if you're humping your boss's wife.

Stay professional otherwise.

When it comes to divorce. But that girl at your job that yells at her husband over the phone?! come on! that's just tacky. A woman here also tells us about her 'dates' and fights, and $$ issues with her ex...we listen to be polite, but it gives off a bad impression. When it come to my personal home life at work, i keep it to the very bones. It's none of their business.

Exactly!  And not only that.....you are sucking everyone else's energy when they see you with a lumpy, mumpy, grumpy face.....

Then again you have other people who loooooooove causing a scene and gettting attention out of it and wanting people to ask them: HOW IS EVERYTHING? ...so they can blab on and on.....(like's Baina's co-worker)

Keep your problems to yourself and just SMILE....it's a selfish act otherwise!   (exception: friends, family...)

Well, this is different. First of all, you chose a phine away from everyone if you're going to have an argument, like go to the meeting room andf close the door. Then, the whole staff does have to find out what is going on and if you need some time out, just go to your manager and ask for it.

I think they should be understanding, but also the person involved should not "milk it" either.  I totally sympathize and that stuff is hard, no one knows what it`s like till they`re in that position.  And there are some people that can handle stuff like that better but there are others that maybe dont have such tough skin.  So as long as the person doesent use it to their advantage, it think it`s ok, kinda like what Genie said about her co-worker.

Note to previous post : you can always try to re-do a bit of your time in order not to loose your days. half an hour here, half an hour there etc.....

I will say it all depends of your line of work and the relationship you have with your manager.

But I think, if you need some time off, well try to use your vacations days or personal days if you have some.

Bottom end, for the company, it is not their problem if you have marital issues or not. I took a day not long ago, I just called my mge and told her I had some personal issue (she knew what I was talking about) and that I was going to take the day off. She was nice enough to take it as a sick day but it is also because I am not abusing of her trust and that, beside posting a lot , my work is always done on time and my ratings are good.

I still haven't figured how this is happening I guess I am just a great multitasker Wooo Hooo

A bit but not too much because if you are married to a drama queen you'll be having more days off than work days.
