i went to pick her up at her daycare after work one day and to my surprise the place had closed and she was inside! And this happend at a very high end downtown daycare!! i started laughing and called her mom to ask her what was going on and she calmy said hold on let me call the supervisor and she rushed over to open the place!!! it turns out my god daughter had fallen asleep in the little plastic house AND THEY didnt see her!! so i mean honest mistakes happen!! its human nature! and not all of us are IGNORANT!! and come one its not like they hurt the child she was asleep they made a mistake!!!
How come it does not suprise me ? I would have gone crazy over the employee I don't know here but in QC, the educational system is not very good, for my standards and I've been in contact and lived with children that go to the public schools there.
Julie, I love your Avatar.
As for this topic, same as Princesa not only would I sue their A$$ but I would be tormenting them all the time. I would never let something like that go.

Diosito increible las cosas que pasan, pero eso ya es demasiado si no me equivoco ellos tienen una lista de niņos que tienen que chequiar ,pero es irresponsable en parte de los trabajadores de la guarderia.
But if you think about it, how many parents have forgotten their kids in the car. Some have even died. It's really sad, but our minds are just so consumed with so much crap every day, that our kids are the least of our priorities sometimes. Really, really sad.
Its true... with soo many things a parent has in their mind.. it can be very easy to forget things... but your own kids... thats just wrong....
I'm really not surprised. So many people just go through the motions at work-- I'm sure even doctors and the like-- but to forget a kid, no good.

Two Quebec day-care workers have been fired after mistakenly leaving a sleeping toddler inside the child-care facility at the end of their shift.
The mother of the 21-month-old girl left behind came to the Laval, Que. day-care around 6 p.m. on Tuesday evening but found the building locked up with the lights off.
She called 911 and firefighters had to break in.
Luckily, they found the toddler safe and sound, and fast sleep.
Although the toddler was unharmed, the day cares' executive director, Myriam Taillefer, decided to fire the employees.
She said they failed to properly follow the day care's closing procedures by not checking every room before closing down for the evening.
Taillefer contacted the two employees after the incident and both were shocked to hear about what they forgot.
She said both were immediately concerned for the safety of the child.
On Friday, parents bringing their children to the day care seemed to be happy with how management dealt with the situation.
"The day care is still open," CTV Montreal's Annie deMelt said.
"Parents were bringing their children here this morning."
She spoke to one parent who said he would continue to bring his child to the facility.
"They dealt with it immediately," Shawn Bleau said outside the day care. "I'm very satisfied with everybody here."
Meanwhile, the mother of the 21-month-old girl also brought her child back to the day care saying, she too, was content with the action taken.
She said she realized that it was an accident and now that the two employees were gone she would keep sending her child there.
Helen Ward of Kids First Parent Association of Canada told CTV Newsnet the dismissals were a good reminder to the day-care community to "tighten up their standards."
"It is also a message to parents to realize that you are really the only one that can assure that your children are being adequately cared for," said Ward, of the organization that supports a family-based care-giving model.
