I heard the exact same thing plus a bit more:

Appearantly, they only sold 600 or so tickets in montreal (Aventura had played for free during the summer) and the promoter didn't have enough loot for the 50% deposit b4 the show and that's how it all started. Then Brahim or his tdot reps went around the toronto stores to pick up the cash for tix sold the day before the show!!!!!That's a BIG NO NO. Obviously, some latino store owners told him/them to shove it and that money would be paid to them on the day of the show or the day after as is the standard practice in toronto.

Bottom line: homeboy didn't have $ for the show and Adventura's manager cancelled the shows....or atleast asi me contaron.

Next time a montreal promoter/producer tries to do business in torontno they better have their **** together...i don't think Toronto latinos are gonna be to reseptive to any other mtl promos

if lenny is the problem here than i guess there will be another cancellation . so let u s know the truth about june 3 rd if they are coming or else im gonna get my refund . ps i also heard about them not getting any money when they were in montreal cause they should up late to the show . well we will see on june 3 rd whats going to happen if something else goes bad than i guess dream productions wont be doing another show in toronto.

there was over 4000 tickets sold between toronto and montreal there was alot of money to be found soo i am sure there was money somewhere... i dont think that was the issue

Anyways guys word around the camp fire is that lenny has massive problems with immigration Canada because of his temper tantrum he had last summer in Montréal. They didn’t let him into Canada and aventura had to perform with a guitar player from Montréal. lenny didn’t have permission at the time of his flight to enter Canada so they all got into a a war of words and the rest is history

If you are being paid to promote and event...paid to sell tickets.....paid to drive around town to deliver tickets than you are just doing your job. If you are doing a job and you get paid for that job then no I don't think you need to be thanked at a press conference.

If I spent all my time trying to sell out that concert I would want to be compensated with money not words.
