I'm on the same boat as you right now!! I also need advise!! My little man wears underwear all day, but i have to make sure he wears a diaper when going to sleep! I'm trying to get him to not have milk before going to bed, but it's not working. I swear sometimes i think i should have a cow in the backyard, cause el es lechero!!!!

Very important no fluids before going to bed ... And no I don't think little man will always wake up in the middle of the night ... eventually he will not need to, but for now I say that is a good idea ...

Because if you do, he will probably take the habit and once you stop or forget to do so, you'll be back to square one.

If he needs a bottle, give it to him about 30 min before going to sleep. You must create a routine for this so that he gets use to it and do wake him up twice during the night, make sure that he is not sleep walking or else he wont know what is going on. If he didn't pee himself you must reward him and if he did pee himself you must make him understand that it's not right to pee on the bed.
What ever you do, do not make fun of him.
Also, keep in mind that not all bladders develop fully when they are young.

Well, I am not a mother but here are my tips to you.
Try not to give him a bottle or a glass of any kind of liquid before going to bed. Make sure he goes to the bathroom prior to. Buy one of those "cubre matriz" (mattress protector or mattress cover), that you put on the mattress before the bedsheet (sabana cajon) and get rid of the diapers. He might do it in bed at the bigining but it won't be that bad with the protection, it will just be more loads of sabanas.

That can work too. Many parents do that. I did that with Bolly princess for a bit.
