I am pretty sure that the research are much more advanced that what is been told. They might already have a treatment ready for trial.
So with is it not relased ? Well, can you imagine how much money the Labs. will be loosing if they stop the sale of the 3therapy treatment (I think it is the name) ?

I heard that Bono of U2, has been pressuring LaRoche to release the cure if not for the world, for third world countries including those of Africa who won't be able to afford prescription medication.
I'm not sure if it was LaRoche or Pfizer but they are not releasing it either for political or financial reasons (ie, the highest bidder has not been found).
