I'm not a big jewelry person either, in fact when i got the E.R. i had a flipping scabs on my finger for weeks because i never wore any rings, and my hand had to adjust.

But i don't get why the girl 'researches' for the ring she wants...personally i think it's best when the guy surprises you with it, look, size and what ever other 'characteristic' there is about diamonds.

I love my ring but I would have married him without it too.
