En Gdl, dicen el "Camion" as well but pple also use "el Pecero" or "el micro" when they are talking about the small ones. And the word "Autobus" is used for the ones like Greyhound, Coach Canada, etc...


Chez moi on dit "l'autobus" or simply "le bus"

Yesterday one of my co-workers asked me: Dónde te deja el gua-gua? Then she proceeded to rephrase the question, something she didn't have to do because, being the language snob that I am, I understood her perfectly fine: for Cubans it's public transport (or maybe it's just bus in general Bah! So much for my language snobbiness).


Anyway, how do you say it where you're from?

Aaah, yes, margaritas.. I used to call them that too when I was younger. I substituted some words for others as I got older. Lipstick, for example, I used to say bilé, switched to labial.


blush = used to say chapas, now I say rubor.


woodlouse (ok, this word I just learned because I used to say rolly poly hihihi) = used to say puerquito de humedad, now I say cochinilla.

How do you say ladybug? In Mx we say catarina. In Chile chinitas. What else?


Oh, and yesterday I learned jogging in Argentina is footing? (sp?) In Mx = trotar.
