GENIE HAS A GOOD POINT...

IT'S NOT WORTH DOING IT...GIRLS WITH CURLY HAIR WANT STRAIGHT AND GIRLS WITH STRAIGHT HAIR WANT CURLY...

I HATE MY CURLY HAIR...YET I AM SO USE TO HAVING IT CURLY THAT WHEN (THE ODD TIMES) I STRAIGHTEN IT I FEEL WEIRD...I CAN'T STOP TOUCHING IT...AND IT BOTHERS ME...CHANGE IS NICE ONCE AND AWHILE...

BUT KEEPING IT NATURAL IS BETTER...I SAY LAHTINA DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY...LIKE GENIE STATES...SPEND THE MONEY ON AN AMAZING STRAIGHTNER...SO WHEN YOUR IN THE MOOD TO BE DIFFERENT YOU CAN AND WHEN YOU WANT TO GO BACK TO NATURAL YOU CAN ASWELL...

I did that once and my hair got ruined and it was straight for like a week. My friend did it as well at a so called HIGH CLASS salon and i was straight for a few days and it burned her hair!!! She has to cut it really short because her hair looked so bad!!

SO I SAY, DON'T DO IT!! JUST BUY A STRAIGHTNER!!

Someone told me that hair grows back...

The first time I coloured my hair was Aug 2005, I was afraid that i would damage my hair but i was sick of looking the same all the time so i went ahead and coloured it. I like that you can change your look all the time.

If you go and get your hair permanently relaxed it would only last you for about six months versus all your life with curly hair, in the other hand you can use the iron or blow dryer to straighten it in about 15 to 20 min.

If you think that you can spend the money, i say go ahead and try it.

It doesn't hurt to try and I'm sure you won't be the first one to do it, just let me know your experience with it so that i can try it too.

A FRIEND OF MINE DID THE PERMANENT STRAIGHTNING THING (CALLED CHAI I THINK ) AND IT WAS NOT DAMAGING TO HER HAIR....SHE HAS DONE IT 4 TIMES ALREADY.....SINCE SHE DISCOVERED IT

ALSO.....IT'S IDEAL TO DO IN OCTOBER AND HAVE IT STRAIGHT ALL WINTER...INSTEAD OF RISKING THE HUMIDITY IN THE SUMMER TO FRIZZ IT UP ......BUT IN THE CASE OF MY FRIEND.....SHE HAS EVEN GONE SWIMMING WITH IT AND IT STAYED STRAIGHT....HER HAIR IS MORE LIKE AFRO'S....IN CURL AND IN LENGTH.....

I SAY GO FOR IT....YOU WILL NEVER KNOW IF IT WORKS FOR YOU OR NOT UNTIL YOU TRY IT....AND WOMEN DO WORSE THINGS TO THEIR HAIR THAN STRAIGHTNING IT.....PERMS, COLOURING, SHAVING....LOL

I always knew you were an evil child......

I would really be concerned with how my hair would start looking after let's say 6 months. I might look ok at the beginning, but, how about later on?????

Jeez...such a triviality.....and so hard to make the right decision

I am sure the process has changed a lot in three years since I had it done in Miami.  But i can tell you that it was great in the beginning but my hair hasnt been the same since.  I loved having straight, effortless hair but my options for styles were also very limited.

If you are someone who has a lot of trouble taking care of your hair and your never quite happy with it.....I SAY ....GO FOR IT.

Ditto girl  When I was a kid, I hated my hair, I wanted it straight so bad.  I would even cry to my mom that I wanted my hair straightened.  But as I grew older and kept getting compliments on it I began to appreciate it.

Is it permanent or is it a few months thing ?

I remember you commented it last time but I could hear pretty well.

It's your call. I would rather do the Ironing/Blowdriyng from time to time but I don't have curly hair and now, they are more than short anyway.

When I used to have them veryyyyy long, I did, los planchaba de vez en cuando, con unas de estas planchas para el cabello. Very nice result !

I've thought about it myself, because I really like my hair when it's straight.
However, I'm afraid my hair is going to get damaged cuz when u think about it, how the hell are they going to get rid of the curls if it's not with some sort of chemical. Plus, with the amount of hair I have and its length it would cost me like $700 to $1000. And I'm not sure if it's worth it.
Another thing, for time to time, I do love my curls.

Do you know how long it lasts once it's done?

Girls, I need your opinion. I'm torn between having my hair permanently relaxed or just straightening it from time to time. Basically MM has told me that he likes me better with straight hair and frankly I do enjoy having my hair straight. I look hot! LOL j/k but yeah. But it's such a pain in the butt trying to straighten it.

I'm considering "Japanese Hair Relaxing". It's a very intensive process that leaves hair completely straight. It's supposed to leave your hair smooth and silky. The creator company calls the process hair Repair because it seems to actually leave the hair in better condition than it was prior to treatment. It takes an average of 3-4 hours. In some places where I've asked they've even said 6! and it costs anywhere from $300 - 1000 depending on the length of the hair, the amount of processing present in the hair, the stylist and of course the place.

 Should I? Would you?
