I've never gotten into Fireworks but I know it's quite powerful. I just use Image Ready, it comes with Photoshop, just click on the bottom icon on your photoshop toolbar to launch it. You can manipulate the layers like photoshop and then you can create your frame-by-frame animation with their animation tool.

Otherwise, there's always Flash, but that's another beast that I'm sure you don't want to get into right now.

If you need a quick tutorial on Image Ready let me know.

I don't think the pics where rotated (as in twisted), if I remember the pics from potluck correctly, those were some diff angles of pics of la confu..no?. (correct me if I'm wrong)......... nonetheless, great work
