I was a big fan of star wars until Lucas went off the rails. The whole saga had so much potential. The myths, the conflicts, the characters... were all so rich. But then George became too much of an egomanic. Ever the control freak , he refused to delegate (in particular the script and story line) and was hostile to any criticism, constructive or not. So we were left with a number of episodes that royally sucked. Imagine if a young peter jackson was given the rights to do a few episodes. Now that would be something. In regards to star trek. The next generation was awesome. I guess I'm comiing out of the geek closet.

I was inspired as a child to become a filmaker by watching the first three movies.... then Lucas went "coocoo" thinking he's the hot SH*T and ruined the whole essence of the saga...
