My God, is there ever talent in Cuba. From the quartet that sang at the restaurants to all the bands, dancers and even the piano player at a piano bar, they're all so amazingly talented. I did promote the Aventura concert at the Docks and surprisingly and shockingly a lot of the cubans really, really wanted to come along, but Fidel said no. They all know Ricky's the one who sings My All and were all like, "Mariah who?" Oh, and I did recruit Foro members, but they said they needed to get a computer first, internet connection, a complete overhaul in Cuba's technological networks and systems... and toothpaste. After that, they're good to go. (I know, that's so mean...)
Cuba was spectacular. I've been there a couple of times, but for some reason the beach at this place was just breathtaking. It's just so, so beautiful. The people were really nice and the resort was really good. I was pleasantly surprised even with the food, 'cause for Cuban standards, it was above average. The only upsetting thing was the treatment at the airport, but that was so bad that it deserves its own thread, which I'm about to start any minute now.
