I knew un campesino that when he was ridding his horse very early in the morning he got attacked by a naked witch.
Come on JInx, that **** is La Siguanaba.
( A quien No eh!?, verdad muchachos? , jajaja).
I've never seen el DUENDE ... but I have heard of it ... My cousin in Ecuador when he was like 2 saw it segun me conto mi tia when I was there and it was taking him to the river .. But yeah I believe in all that but haven't seen any of it ... so not sure about it

I have never seen such things, but my dad has told me many stories about these sort of things that some of his family members have seen back in El Salvi. One was that one of his uncles was walking down some lonely road, and all of a sudden he got attacked by some monkey. He had a knife on him so he took it out and tried to kill the monkey, but he just ended up cutting the monkey's ear off. The next day someone came and told him that some lady who was a witch got her ear cut off. So in other words the witch turned herself into a monkey and got her ear cut off, because she attacked my dad's uncle. I don't know how true this is, but you never know.
Interesting how there are so many stories (superstitions?) that are very similar. In Mexico, a Nahual is a person who can tranform him/herself into an animal. I heard about this man who could turn himself into a black dog (one of my dad's relatives). Supposedly he had sold his soul to the devil or something like that.

you know dicen que los ninos y los borrachos dicen la verdad. I think it's true about duendes cus it only happens en las afueras de la ciudades....
Yes, in vino veritas, but neither my grandpappy or my ex are winos. And yeah, both accounts happened in the outskirts. Supposedly the uncle got attacked en un cerro.
When I was a kid I saw a duende near a creek (back home) it wasn't a kid cus it didn't have a nose and he was naked! Have u seen a duende or any other strange creature?
Personally, no. But my grandfather used to tell us stories of when he saw the elves when he was younger in some cotton fields. And a guy I used to date said his uncle was attacked by some "chaneques" (elves) and even had the teeth marks on his back to prove it... but I never saw them personally... so, I don't know.
