Majority of girls I know have gotten #7 at a baby shower have become pregnant. It happened to my with my first kid. Freaky thing is that my friend and I bought the gift together and she had been told by doctors that she couldnt have kids. Well, a month after that baby shower I found out I was pregnant, and 2 months later, she came with the news that she was pregnant. So I'm a believer.

I believe in some old wives tales. The ones you just wrote not being one of them. I think you just answered yourself... it's all a coincidence. Most people who go to weddings are in that age group and mindset so yes, you can expect them to get married soon. Some goes for those who attend babyshowers. At the last babyshower M & I went to, our gift was the 7th one to be opened - no baby yet and someone already beat us to that.
