But norteņo music is like reggaeton...all the songs sound the same..lol .Reggaeton is tearing up Latin America...of course...it's catchy. Hip Hop is sooo much more popular than country music but all the ghetto birds just download the hip hop music!! All the country music fans go and buy the Shit like good ol' whilte folk do. Same thing goes for the norteņos. They sell their CD's like free condom giveaways!!        But you have to be honest. I constantly go on the web to see the charts and to see what reggaeton songs are making it big...then I actualy hear them and they ALL SOUND THE SAME! Same thing goes for norteņo music.  I'm not ignorant or deaf...I'm a musician and I'm proud to say I'm pretty damn good at what I do. These genres need some innovation of some sort. The producers have to stop using the same looney tune sounds and start thinking musically instead of just getting a reggaeton song out there with the same kick and snare sound and the tra tra traShit in the back. The only song that is musically enticing to be is "Mayor Que Yo"....or "Lo Que Paso Paso"....Those are good tracks...all the other ones sound like.....yup you got it...Mayor Que Yo and Lo Que Paso Paso..lol I just hope someone with musical intellect can make this genre much more innovative. Reggaeton is still young so we'll see if somebody can think musical for once.   Damn I didn't realize I went off topic..lol. Anyway yeah...Daddy Spankee....he wouldn't dare burn a Mexican flag...he ain't thtat dumb if he cared for his life so much. I don't believe that happened at all. Where did you get your info vato?

he must have gotten off some fake reggaeton site, theres are alot out there, they even said that vico c had died a while back as well.

And about reggaeton sounding alike , thats a personal opinion to eaches own, **** u can throw 30 different reggaeton tracks at me, and il tell u which is which..there is a difference bro it may sound the same. I think thats what makes reggaeton unique, to have the backbone dembow beat, and at the same time having the ability to make it sound different  compared to another track. Producing aint easy man, ask tunes or blass how they bust their asses off to make just one hook. Or better yet to produce certain albums.

There are also many songs as good as mayor que yo and lo que paso paso, trust me..people can get cought up with the commercial tracks.

To make the genre much more innovative, that will depend with time..but how will that happen? the tra tra dembow beat is like reggaetons signature, without it there aint no reggaeton, unless some new beats or rythems r incorporated perhaps?

But the same can be said about  bachata, merengue, etc..  alot of bachata tracks sound all alike to me, same with merengue , i never really hear people say it needs a change.

about norteno having more sales then reggaeton in L.america hmmmmmmmmm maybe goes kinda even? but what is true is that there was no other genre like reggaeton that was heard over almost in every latin american country. Take south america for example, we dont get down with bachata to tough i was told that merengue aint even too porpular in argentina , but u do hear reggaeton concerts held in mexico to honduras to ecuador to peru to chile etc..

So give reggaeton its credit, its doing something positive , uniting latinos and giving the urban latino youth something that they can call "their own thing".

If it ever happens to loose its popularity , it will always remain part of a latin genre of music ;)

I dunno.. but I dont really see a news agency quoting:

"Puto boricua! no fuimos a tu concierto porque eres un come ****,asi que chinga tu madre hijo de ****! y metete tus putos CD's por donde te quepan! perro!"

Unless it was run by the members of Molotov... I think this is about as true as the Tommy Hilfiger on Oprah reports....
