Sexual manipulation can damage a marriage. Instead of turning the bedroom into a battlefield, Dr. Phil tells couples how to negotiate their relationships.
Dr. Phil’s Show :
Linda (left) enjoys bartering sex for high-priced items from her husband Dan. But Dan wishes their sex life resembled an act of love instead of a business transaction. Ken (center) regrets the day he told his wife they could have an open marriage, especially after finding out about her 10 affairs. Chris (right) admits to giving her husband bad sex so that he'll "stop asking for it."
Dan and Linda
"I barter for sex with my husband," explains Linda, who has had sex with her husband Dan in exchange for everything from jewelry to home renovations to trips to Las Vegas. "The bigger the item, um ... the more fun he can have!" she laughs.
Linda does admit however that she and her husband now fight daily over sex.
Dan says that although the bartering started out as a game, it now bothers him: "I need to know in my mind whether the sex we have is bartered sex, or if she's actually in love with me and that's why we're making love."
"Is it wrong for me to get the things I want by bartering for sex?" asks Linda.
Ken and Michelle "I think Michelle has had eight to 10 affairs in the last four years," says Ken, whose wife asked him for an open marriage a few years ago. "I was afraid that if I said no to her that she would leave. I could kick myself now for giving her permission to go outside the marriage. Very recently I told her to stop."
Michelle admits, "I'm addicted to sex. It's a game for me. The arrangements are usually at a hotel room. I find men online. I mainly look for married men who are looking for a discreet encounter. I get a rush out of thinking I can be with these other men and hide it behind Ken's back. I know I should be thinking of my husband and family."
"Dr. Phil, my wife's dangerous sex games are going to ruin our marriage and our family," says Ken. "Please help us find a way to end this destructive pattern."
Eric and Chris
Chris admits that she intentionally gives her husband "bad sex," hoping that it will prevent him from asking her for it.
"Eric thinks its normal to have sex every day," Chris explains. "There's a lot of pressure on me. When I'm not in the mood, I give him bad sex. I withhold things that I know please Eric. I would like to enjoy sex more than I do now and to please my husband."
Eric complains that Chris won't move her body or participate in the physical activity of lovemaking. "Right now our bedroom has become the scene of my rejection," he says. "I believe this problem could end our marriage. How do we get the good sex back?"
And here I opened this thinking it would be some nice little games one can use in the bedroom to spice up sex... Damn, Cwazzzy ppl!
