I dont think its bad luck to celebrate your birthday before the date. Although i would never do that myself. I might come off over eager, and i really dont understand why people would want to speed up the process of ageing. How many of us went to Christmas parties in November? lol.

MANY PEOPLE DO ACTUALLY......ITS THE WHOLE "CONVENIENCE" WITH WORK SCHEDULES ISSUE......

I agree with my scorpio bro here.  But until recently, I had only heard that it was for the 1st birthday, that's why I never celebrated my kids' first birthdays before the day.  Now that I know it's for every birthday, I'm very cautious, being the big supersticiosa that I am.

More than just superstition...it's about being LOGICAL.....

Like Baina said....how do you celebrate something that hasn't happened?

Also......how about 1 year anniversaries......don't you guys celebrate that they day of.....not a day before or a day after......it really makes no sense, weekday or weekend......

The name is BirthDAY....not....Birththedaybefore.....LOL

Having a BDAY party AFTER your bday is OK....becuase you are already born and people are celebrating your "being there".....but celebrating it before it's like "celebrating the fetus" LOL

Regardless......people can do whatever they feel......freedom of choice and expression.....which sometimes may not be logical to others......

BTW: REP....Isn't your bday coming up??

I never celebrate my B-day before date, altought I could do it 1 day before since they made my mom wait, LOL

But I don't mind people wishing me a Happy B-day sometimes few days in advance since my family and most of my friend are far away and it is not always easy to work aroud the time difference.

Do you celebrate New Years on Dec. 30th?

No I don't, but let's say that my bday falls on a weekday I will either celebrate it on the weekend before my b day or the weekend after.  I say celebrate whatever you want when you want.  Who cares if it passed already or if it hasn't happened yet.  What's the big deal?  There are more important things in life to worry about then celebrating things on the right date.  Just do it whenever you feel most comfortable or happy doing it.

Exactly!!!

So you can celebrate it's anniversary....any time you want......after it's actual date.

I'm not saying that you CAN'T do it......You do "whatever makes you happy and sets you free"...lol.......I'm just saying that it's tempting God, Fate, Karma....whatever you wanna call it...

now THAT'S RETARDED.. no one is going to celebrate their birthday EVERY weekend.. my point is that if you can celebrate your bday the day before or a week before, then do it... don't hold off just because you MAY or MAY NOT die...

and you wouldn't have 52 bdays.. you only have ONE date of birth but you can have several celebrations or parties.. whatever the case is, enjoy it... there's no need to restrict yourself because of the unknown.  No one can control that...

I think it's bull. I rarely celebrate my birthday on the actual big date. The past 4 years my birthday has fallen on a weekday so I've celebrated the weekend before or after depending on when me and my friends were free. I don't think I've had luck because of that...

....However now that I think of it I keep getting screwed out of winning the lottery

I think superstitions suck donkey balls... celebrate your birthday today, walk under ladders, smash mirrors... none of it really has any meaning, unless you want it to have meaning... ENJOY your BDay today and everyday!!!
My thoughts exactly.

How could you celebrate something that hasn't happened yet?

What makes you ssoooooo sure it will happen?

Do you celebrate New Years on Dec. 30th?

wouldn't you rather die having celebrated it, than die with the anticipation of celebrating it?

That's retarded!

Why not celebrate your Bday every weekend then?

At the end of every year you could have 52 Bdays give or take....
