Much respect LadyBug or your opinion. I am pretty new in this forum but you have made great points and i am 100% with you. But as you said business is business and the promoters who bring these artist aren't the same ones who organize LatinFest. In my opinion all these big promoters instead of working by themselves trying to eat each other, should unify their resources and professional capacity to organize a major event low cost , more people and of course excellent performers like Tito Rojas and Charlie Zaa.
THIS IS THE LOGICAL WAY OF THINKING....BUT UNFORTUNATELY NOT EVERYONE IS SOLELY IN IT FOR THE "UNITY OF LATINOS".....(IT IS AFTER ALL "A BUSINESS)
AND PRIMARILY THEY ARE IN IT FOR THE $$$ AND TO HAVE CREATIVE RIGHTS AND GAIN RESPECT FOR THEIR CONCERT PROMOTIONS.....NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT OF COURSE.....BUT IF THE PAYING CUSTOMER SUFFERS, SO DO THEY.....SO IT'S A NO WIN SITUATION....LOL
WHO'S THINKING CHARLIE ZAA AND TITO ROJAS, WHEN AVENTURA AND JUANES ARE THE HIGHLY EXPECTED CONCERTS OF THE YEAR SO FAR....

So far I've heard half of the people I know say that they're dying to see Charlie Zaa because he might not come back here for a long time (myself included) and the other half say that Tito Rojas LIVE in Concert is really good, especially for Salseros and loyal Colombianos.....
Another group of people are wishing they had money $$$ for all these sudden major concerts happening literally a week from each other.....
So first we complain that Toronto NEVER brings any good Latin performers and when the promoters actually do bring someone great, they do it within a small time frame from other promoters (as healthy competition of course)......
But who suffers here......the fans who can't afford to see various of their favorites in 1 month.....or the promoters competing to host the "hottest" and most popular concert within the month?
It's a similar situation with AVENTURA on FEB 18 and JUANESon MARCH 4........"Aventura" is going to be an all ages event and more affordable than Juanes.....eventhough Juanes is an "anticipated sold out" (expensive) concert.....with supposeddly a "rocker" loving crowd......which is NOT the case, since non-rockers love Juanes just as much.....
(that I am aware of) There are at least 3 HUGE concerts being negotiated for Toronto as we speak and 1 of them was going to fall right around those dates also.....(hopefully it won't, but at the end of the day, business is business).....
No wander we get "unknown acts" for Wonderland....if all these major artists come and do "mini performances" for a set amount of $$$......instead of exposing themselves to 10,000 people under 1 event for the same amount of $$$ if not a bit less.....
What do you guys think about all this? As music loving fan AND "paying customer" you have a right to form an opinion, nag, complain and criticize....so the promoters can hear you out and the SMART ones can actually take it into consideration and apply it.
