Isn't "absolute friendship" a must if you're considering a serious relationship? How can you be with someone for a long time if you're not friends? Doesn't it get boring after the initial immediate attraction, unless you find friendship in the relationship? Maybe it's just the way you're approaching things.

that being said, it sounds like you need to get better at cutting away.. you say you're sick of "longer than dating" relationships.. if you know it's not going anywhere.. why do you let it get to the "longer than dating" stage..

if you're holding out for something serious, just make sure you get more efficient at selecting people
