Bolivar was right... it should be one country, from Mexico to Tierra del Fuego. Unfortunately, Bolivar was unrealistic idiot. But the idea was right on.
Chile's national anthem was composed by a spaniard. So was Panama's.
The spanish national anthem itself, has no lyrics.
¡Oh gloria inmarcesible!
I only posted the two main parts, the Colombian national anthem has 11 verses.

Even Cristobal Colon ships had the MAlta Cross on the velas, I think He himself was also a mason, do you know anything about the use of this cross?. The nazis used this cross extensively aswell, I think it was supposed to help them open roads wherever they went just like the crusaders.
Well, yes, as the present cuban flag is almost identical to Puerto Rico´s. Before the 19 century, it seems as if latin american freedom fighters were a bit more in touch than in the entire following century. It also seems as if it is changing again... for good! i am on my way out, but you may want to research if there´s any connection.
Amigos, I read somewhere that these colours, red, blue, and white are MAZONIC colours, just like the colours used in the french, USA, cuban, puertorican, costarican, etc. Most of the signers of the Declaration of Independence in USA were Masons ( a very private and secret society which some say involves the study of the occult such as pyramids).
I think there's some true about the similarities among these flags.

Juan León Mera
Coro: ¡Salve o Patria, mil veces! ¡Oh Patria! ¡gloria a tí!
5. Nadie, oh Patria, no intente.
Even though many of us here are not native to this country, I'd like to think that this one deserves to be here O Canada! Our home and native land!True patriot love in all thy sons command. With glowing hearts we see thee rise,The True North strong and free! From far and wide,O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. God keep our land glorious and free!O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
I seriously don't know how this anthem goes (melody). Whenever I hear someone say: O Canada, I always imagine it sounding like O Christmas Tree and then Mark gets offended.
I just realized that Guatemala's anthem is very, very similar to the Mexican one; its prosody is the same one. In fact, I can sing the Guatemalan one to the Mexican's music.
I like this topic. I'm going to read all the anthems carefully.

What I like about the history of my hymn is, on the one hand, the exodus-liberation side there´s to it and, also, the fact that it was composed and sang in the face of mere adversity and utter "defeat" (having to vacate a city as Bayamo, because if facing the spanish troops there would have been murder) and, still, there´s this kick ass tone to it.
gotta go.
Spanish reggae would be Panama's new anthem.......
That or "Patria" by Ruben Blades.....
Reggaeton could only apply to Puerto Rico......So they'd have to choose between salsa, reggaeton...or a mix of both....

Cuba! Cuba! . . Cuba´s national anthem was composed by coronel Perucho Figueredo during the burning of Bayamo, as it was chosen by its people when retreating before a spanish offensive, October 20, 1868. Since 1960, this date is observed as the Day of Cuban Culture. The first version was known as "La Bayamesa" both as in evocation of La Marselleise (sp Julie, pleassse ) and as honor to the city where it came to life. During the burning of the city, this hymn was sang under the first cuban, mambi flag, also known as Carlos Manuel de Céspedes´ flag. Carlos Manuel is considered the father of our homeland.
Looks almost identical to the Chilean flag...

It was longer than the present version, and read as follows:
(Coro)
The official, present version is:
Is there an Anthem out there that doesn't talk about: ....la lucha, el cielo, las flores, la paz y los soldados?
Yes, this one "L'Hymne a l'Amour" d'Edith Piaf
If the sun should tumble from the sky If the sea should suddenly run dry If you love me, really love me Let it happen, I won't care If it seems that everything is lost I will smile and never count the cost If you love me, really love me Let it happen, darling, I won't care
Shall I catch a shooting star? Shall I bring it where you are? If you want me to, I will You can set me any task I'll do anything you ask If you'll only love me stll When at last my life on earth is through I'll share eternity with you If you love me, really love me Let whatever happens I won't care

The Anthem was composed by Juan Aberle and the General Juan Jose Cañas on the recommendation of the President Doctor Rafael Zaldivar. It was sung for the first time in the ancient Palacio Nacional on September 15, 1879 by children from public and private schools from the capital.

Italian brothers, Italy has arisen, With Scipio's helmet binding her head. Where is Victory? Let her bow down, For God has made her The slave of Rome. Let us gather in legions, Ready to die! Italy has called!
We for centuries Have been downtrodden and derided, Because we are not a people, Because we are divided. Let one flag, one hope Bring us together; The hour has struck For us to join forces. Let us gather in legions, Ready to die! Italy has called!
Let us unite and love one another; For union and love Reveal to peoples The way of the Lord Let us swear to free Our native soil; If we are united under God, Who can conquer us? Let us gather in legions, Ready to die! Italy has called!
From the Alps to Sicily, Everywhere it is Legnano; Every man has the heart and hand of Ferruccio. The children of Italy Are all called Balilla; Every trumpet blast Sounds the (Sicilian) Vespers. Let us gather in legions, Ready to die! Italy has called!
Mercenary swords Are feeble reeds, And the Austrian eagle Has lost his plumes. This eagle that drunk the blood of Italy and Poland, togheter with the Cossack, But this has burned his gut. Let us gather in legions, Ready to die! Italy has called!
Here is a translation from the web, more or less accurate. Sorry, it is to much work for me to do it at this time
Let's go children of the fatherland, The day of glory has arrived! Against us tyranny's Bloody flag is raised! (repeat) In the countryside, do you hear The roaring of these fierce soldiers? They come right to our arms To slit the throats of our sons, our friends!
Refrain
Grab your weapons, citizens! Form your batallions! Let us march! Let us march! May impure blood Water our fields!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
This horde of slaves, traitors, plotting kings, What do they want? For whom these vile shackles, These long-prepared irons? (repeat) Frenchmen, for us, oh! what an insult! What emotions that must excite! It is us that they dare to consider Returning to ancient slavery!
What! These foreign troops Would make laws in our home! What! These mercenary phalanxes Would bring down our proud warriors! (repeat) Good Lord! By chained hands Our brows would bend beneath the yoke! Vile despots would become The masters of our fate!
Tremble, tyrants! and you, traitors, The disgrace of all groups, Tremble! Your parricidal plans Will finally pay the price! (repeat) Everyone is a soldier to fight you, If they fall, our young heros, France will make more, Ready to battle you!
Frenchmen, as magnanimous warriors, Bear or hold back your blows! Spare these sad victims, Regretfully arming against us. (repeat) But not these bloodthirsty despots, But not these accomplices of Bouillé, All of these animals who, without pity, Tear their mother's breast to pieces!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Sacred love of France, Lead, support our avenging arms! Liberty, beloved Liberty, Fight with your defenders! (repeat) Under our flags, let victory Hasten to your manly tones! May your dying enemies See your triumph and our glory!
Refrain
We will enter the pit When our elders are no longer there; There, we will find their dust And the traces of their virtues. (repeat) Much less eager to outlive them Than to share their casket, We will have the sublime pride Of avenging them or following them!
Refrain
