this is the first in many years that we have a nativity scene, i just bought it on sunday its small and cute, the baby jesus is not in it yet.

The one we have at home takes up half my living room.

My Dad goes all out.

We use to put flowing rivers using a basic water pump.........real sand....etc.....

For us the Nativity Scene is more important than the Xmas tree!

For me X-mas has a very spiritual meaning..... in Christmas eve 1989 grandpa decided to walk towards the light and never returned, since then the meaning of christmas has changed in my family and we basicaly celebrate the born of baby Jesus and the "re-birth" of my "tata".... and since he was a musician we try to have as much music as we can and everything is about happyness (he loved to party)....

Christmas isn't about the gifts, its about the joy of Jesus' birth, not only to adore the baby Jesus, but to celebrate his life, if you believe in Christmas that way. if Not than don't be wishing anyone a Merry Christmas and do all the stressful shopping you want for the adults in your family. It depends on which way to look at it.

the Americanized way or the traditional way, you choose and then you can be happy with your choice.

Besides, if we were deceived by the existence of Santa Claus and then chose not to believe in Jesus, then don't believe in Christmas.... and leave it to the kids, then we'll see what those kids think of christmas when they grow up.

I think it's more for children. Though my family and i still do some traditional things for Christmas and i love it! Makes me feel the Christmas!! Also, i will always be doing something big for Christmas no matter what! As some of you know, my little man was born on Christmas day! I will be having another party on that day, but much smaller then the first one, since most people are with their families!! To me it's all about the children!! If it weren't for the children in my family, we wouldn't be doing everything we do right now!! We make the Christmas feeling come alive!
