I heard that the NARNIA movie sucked..... and that KONG was just ok..... 7/10 The money earned on the film doesnt determine how good the movie is....it just shows how much Publicity went into the remake..... Has anyone seen MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA?
YOU heard wrong chula!
I saw it and loved it! Like Chale says...the dialogue the plot, the effects all were beautiful. It was a very moving flick. My girl read the book but still said the movie was great as well. You should check it out...I'm sure you'll like it!

I saw it! I saw it!!!Let me give you my rundown:King Kong: SUPER SUPER SUPER movie!! I loved it! They totally humanized King Kong and made him soooo super lovable. I want a pet Giant ape, he could take me skating on the frozen pound water. No for real, it was a really good movie, definately worth checking out. The effects were wicked, and the cast was pretty good too. Narnia: AMAZING MOVIE!!!! Ive seen it twice already! Trust me, its soooooo good! The effects, the dialog, the characters, the message.... ALL amazing! Go check it for sure! Harry Potter: Maaaaah... its alright.... thats all Im going to say about that.Walk the line: GREAT movie!!! The two main actors did their own singing for the movie, and the chemistry was really good between them as well. Go check it, even if youre not a big fan of country, definately go check it. Memoirs: Havent seen it yet, am looking forward to it though. Read the book, so Im kinda afraid that the movie wont live up the book. But Im going to check it none the less.
Do you watch a movie everday of the week??? LMAO!!

King Kong features plenty of monsters, but wasn’t quite the monster hit that Hollywood had hoped for.
Peter Jackson’s epic remake did claim top spot at the box office with a $50.15 million opening weekend haul but by blockbuster standards, it was just a little disappointing.
The story of the giant ape edged out a $31.2 million second week effort from the previous weekend’s champion The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Opening in the three spot was 20th Century Fox’s comic drama The Family Stone, starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Diane Keaton, Luke Wilson and Claire Danes in the story of two families meeting for the first time during a holiday visit.
Brokeback Mountain, a controversial story about two cowboys in love, led the Golden Globes with seven nominations and cracked the top ten with a $2.4 million tally playing in just 69 theatres. King Kong opened on 3,568 screens.
Experts expected Kong to debut somewhere above the $60 million mark, but in spite of its underachievement Hollywood had a solid week with the top 12 movies grossing $121.2 million, a 22 per cent lift from the same weekend last year.
"The expectation or the guessing or hypothesizing of what it was going to do is based on a lot of misunderstanding and ignorance over how a three-hour movie plays that doesn't come with legions of fans," said Marc Shmuger, vice-chairman of Universal Pictures.
"This is not Tolkien. This is not the Harry Potter fan base."
But the fact that grosses for Kong jumped 40 per cent from Friday to Saturday is a good indication that word-of-mouth is spreading about a major popcorn film that might actually be worth seeing.
"A movie like King Kong just automatically creates an expectation that it will break all kinds of box-office records," said Paul Dergarabedian, president of box-office tracker Exhibitor Relations.
"But much like Titanic, which started very slow, sometimes it's not always about opening weekends. Sometimes, it's how the film plays in the long run."
