Thanks Genie. I didn't know there were 2 Mikko warehouses. This place is great and cheap. Plus they get new inventory every wednesday.

Don't they also have one at Dufferin and Queen? I'm sure I went there a few times when I lived in the area. Was that Miko?

@ Chale: It'd have to be Ottawa, 'cause I'm closer to that than to Oakville. If not, close to scarberia would be good.

There's a building on Queen and Yonge St, where you an drop off a gift! They have a box in the main lobby!! It's the building with the CIBC in it. I'm gonna drop off some toys next week.

BTW - If you go to SAMKO, you can get amazing deals on toys!!

@ Princessa: Oh maaaan, sorry I forgot about that one

Here is the website for anyone who would like to contribute to the Kidney Foundation of Canada. Remember, any assistance is more than welcomed and appreciated at these organizations.  If you are not able to help monetarily, time is a valuable asset which is greatly needed as well.

@ Maracuya:  Please feel free to post any other organizations or causes.

@ Buffy: Where exactly are you looking for? Ottawa or Oakville? I confused

@ Buffster:

I know I should have said DONKEY SEX ORGY and Im sure I would have had at least triple the views than I do now.

I dont know of any food kitchens girl, but I could help you look for one around Oakville as Im sure that they have some too.

I've heard of that organization as well. Its a great cause to help out, especially during this time when its so frigidly cold!

I'll look for something close to you and PM you the details.

Chale, you think if you'd called the thread sex, sex, sex you would've had more luck getting people to at least respond? (let alone donate something?).

Seriously, though, where would be a good place to donate things to here in Toronto? I guess food banks would be a good place. Someone here at work sent out an e-mail last year collecting things for a house where they have teenaged pregnant girls who had nothing for their unborn babies. I thought that was a great cause. I'd also like to maybe volunteer one day in one of those community kitchens. Anyone knows of any (and please don't tell me Mississauga...) I'm thinking closer to Ottawa than Oakville.

As Christmas time approaches its time we took a step back and thought about the less fortunate, not only in our own city but all around the world.  We need to realize that even with all of our problems and personal issues, there are still people out there with greater problems and a lot less fortunate then ourselves.

If you can, please help out wherever you can. Below are a few links to some well-known organizations.  Please check them out, and if you can, please help out and make a difference.
