jajajajajajaja I remember my parents buying me Barbies and dolls and when I got bored of them I played baseball with an orange inside an old sock and our bat was a piece of wood....

Of course every Christmas someone in the hood would get a SOCCER ball or more… and we would play endlessly… till the ball would get a hole, we would patch it, etc… till it was no longer useable… THEN, we would make our own soccer ball out of SOCKS, or old clothes and kick it round on the second floor patio… a few broken windows, even with the “softer” ball… LOL

Not everything I post or say on foro are necesarily true facts. <- THAT is a fact! :blankstare:
I dont remember making my own toys, I was honestly really fortunate growing up in that my parents were able to buy me things... not necessarily the brand name ones that I wanted, but still (please refer back to the "Toys you always wanted but never got" thread).
And its true... my dad's told me stories of how little kids make their own toys back in our home countries. They make due with anything that they can get their hands on.
Thats why its a great idea if you are able to donate to the less fortunate of the world. Find an organization or a cause that you believe in, and help out the less fortunate.
I was watching a documentary about kids in 3rd world countries playing with toys they make out of cans, plastic bottles etc...and they have so much fum playing with them. Unlike kids from 1st world countries that are asking the latest X-box,cell phones and other gadgets...Me dio unas ganas de llorar porque me recordaba de las veces cuando hacia cometas con periodicos viejos, palitos y hilos...Do you remember making your own toys once?
