Before I got pregnant with my first daughter, a friend and I went to a baby shower. We bought the gift together. We'll at the baby shower our gift was picked 7th. They say that when ur gift comes up as the 7th in a baby shower it means u'll be the next one pregnant. My friend and I were like "no, not us, no way". Well the baby shower was in April, In May I found out I was pregnant. And the most shocking thing is that my friend had been told by the doctor that she couldn't have kids. We'll guess what. In July she found out she was pregnant. And my daughter was born on a 7th. See, the number 7 has amazing powers. I know a lot of friends who got the 7th gift at the baby shower and they ended up pregnant. Coincidence???? BTW - Martes 13 is bad luck in Colombia too. But my mom was born on a 13th and she says that's actually a lucky number for her.-- Edited by Colombiana4Life at 21:19, 2005-12-13
I just remembered that our gift was the 7th in a friend's baby shower too and so far nada de nada. So, yes, it was a coincidence.

You guys believe en brujeria?? I remember as a little girl my mom para disque limpiarme de un mal ojo she like got an egg and just like rubbed all over me and my dad said that when they cracked the egg they saw something but wouldn't tell me what ... I don't know I'm kinda skeptical but this stuff kinda intrigues me
@ chica: I believe this ... it happened to my cousin too and they baptized her right away ... I know in Ecuador the little babies and some children where this red bracelet con una manito para protection ...
ES una bracelet de coral the coral or red helps divert the mal de ojo away from you because the red distracts the eye! they say that when ur pregnant and new born to always wear something red cuz it causes the "maldicion" to direct and fall on red!
They also say to wear gold porke si te estan haciendo brujeria te calle en el oro and doesnt affect you. So if u are were gold y se te parte then that means that somebody tried to do brujeria on u!

This actually happened to me when I was a baby, my mon had to baptized me because I almost died and up to this day she think que alguien did this ("mal de ojo" o aojamiento).
