Can i get your opinion? My review is coming up and every year my boss asks me how much i want...$2000, $5000 etc. So what do you think is a good figure to ask for so after we negotiate i get a good raise? What's the max i can ask for?
In my cheesy company is ranges between 2% and 10% of your current salary. Which if you think about it is pretty good, only thing is, raises here are based on the Company's performance and a smaller percentage on personal performance. I think depending on YOUR performance last year and what the goals are for this year is what you should as for. Remember to be reasonable because you wouldn't want them to "regret" giving you a certain percentage and then you don't live up to it. GOOD LUCK.. I HATE Performance Reviews.
Same thing for me ! Raise is based on performance, goals, etc... so I won't know. Which % did you obtained last year ? maybe based on that, you can try to put something toghether, so your boss will seethe work you have acheived and say that you might deserve more than last year + cost of life expenses (inflacion), etc.....
Good luck on that.
I have my final review this afternoon with my mgr, a ver como me va

Thanks Luna - I'm on their good side so I'm expecting something resonable & the company is doing really well asi que no tienen escusas LOL JK but i don't know what percentage or $ figure to ask for
I say go for the highest amount ($5,000 I think you said)... it's better to aim high and them bring it down, than to aim low and regret not asking for more (or feeling short changed).

The average company gives from 5% to 15% Obviously you've to go for the 15%, Also take a look to the market outside of your company, how much a person with your same position and seniority makes just to get some parameters.
Good Luck ! Prepare your arguments and your answers
