It seems to me that Canadian politicians only want to point fingers and POUNCE at the first opportunity to take each other down. Martin didn't send our troops to go fight in a war that didn't need to be fought... Martin didn't take his sweet time responding to a Canadian natural disaster... The problem in todays, Canada, is that we think we could all be Prime Minister but we will not take that step to be Prime Minister. We all sit back and say how we could do it better.
Could we, lets be honest a real Prime Minister has to be Liberal, Conservative, NDP, and PQ. That is the only way we will ever see a true Prime Minister again.
That is why I could never be Prime Minister. I have Liberal thoughts, Conservative thoughts, NDP thoughts. If I were to combine them I am sure I could be a great Prime Minister and so would another 30 million other people. The problem with even trying to start to become a Prime Minister, is that you first have to join a party and work within that party for a number of years. During this time you are trained to think like, the grass root people think, in that party. A true and real leader goes with his gut, he does take into account what he is told, but he does know what to do. The problem with the leaders in this race, is that they are all controlled by their parties. They are not Leaders, they are all followers. When someone does come forward and wants to make a change, they are shut out by the parties, not the other leaders. Basically all we have in Canada at the present moment is 4 Lobby groups, trying to lobby the voter, the few of us there really are, into putting them into power. Will anything change, not much. That is the sad part of Canada today. You see it all the time, when a Politician speaks his/her mind he/she is ridiculed. Take for instance Mr. Klien, on the CBC tonight, he was mentioned three times, for wanting to change health care. He says what he feels. The problem is the CBC only mentioned him for this subject, when BC and Quebec, and the Supreme Court have all gone towards it. Lets also be honest private, or preffered health care has been here for years, weather you want to admit it or not. Ask any professional athlete,Buzz Hargrove, or even Mr. Martin. Back to my point though Ralph is the one that was brought up on CBC, when really he shouldn't have been. But he is also the one that has been outspoken over a number of issues and he is their easy target. What Canada needs right now is 150 independents elected to bring back the way parliment really is supposed to work.
