Hey Genie, tell your friend (R, is it?) to check out People's. Until Sunday they have a no-tax sale. Or ask X@vier. He's been looking for a ring also. He can point you in the right direction... Or try to sell him a laptop anyway.
Well, I went to this Jewish couple. They are not considered an actual store but they supply to jewelery stores, they are the manufacturer. They even have books with different styles you can choose from, etc. He did a really nice job, made mine not like a typical set (you've seen it) it just looks like a big engagement ring, you cant really tell it's 2. And the hubby's ring was nice 2. Both were in white and yellow gold and they were pretty reasonable for the work that they did, I think.

I think so Gata, but someone mentioned He sells silver chains plated with gold instead of the real thing! Anyways, that's an option, it woud be a less expensive ring after all, hahaha!
Hello Genie. How are you? I remember there is a guy name "Jose something" who used to sell jewellery on credit, He sometimes advertized his business in some hispanic papers. I think that would be convenient option.

"GO READ A BOOK" TENIE WENIE GENIE BEANIE, I didn't see this post or I would have replied earlier......ummmm you should really tell him to wait until he has the money but if he is in a rush and on a serious budget than here are two options: 1. Get the ring at a nice place on credit and pay it back in monthly installments..... 2. Jewlery exchange downtown right in front of the Eaton Centre...there are at least 15 different jewlers there and as long as he asks them for an appraisal than he wont get riped off....also when he asks for an appraisal he should say that it's for insurance purposes so that they don't give him a fake appraisal..... If I hear about any stolen rings anytime soon I'll let you know
@ GENIE: How much is the guy willing to spend – maybe we can get Daeveed to “work” on getting a ring! LOL …
@ Chilenita: You and I get a cut .
@ Daeveed: I’ll work on getting the addresses where they are kept.
@ McORing: You got hook ups?

Jose Cabezas no way don't even go there! That guy is gonna rip you off! My friend bought a gold chain from him and the gold chain wasn't even gold like he claimed! It was silver bañado en oro!
