Ladybug this is going to sound nutty but I don't like the taste of most alcohol either!!!!  Its the not the taste I like it's the effect of  alcohol that I like!  For example I HATE BEER I really really can't stand it but if there is no other hard liquor around that I can mix with something I will drink it because I enjoy the buzz!  They may sound twisted but that's how it is....I facking hate the taste of tequilia but it's one of my favorite drinks!!

also might be because most bars charge like 4 bucks for a pinche cranberry juice and 5 for a shot so it just makes good financial sense to add the vodka for the extra dollar cause I mean who wanna pay a whole 4 bones for some juice?

option number 3 would be, come strap with ur own juice... get urself a personal hydration apparatus and wear it to clubs...

as u can see... it will not only keep u hydrated but it has the added benefit of keepin u cool plus u can HARDLY notice it under ur nice club gear except for maybe them straws stickin out of ur shoulders but u can just play that off and if someone says something just be like.... Either you leave it cuz you dont like it, or you pass it on to next girl.

One time I had a friend of mine buy me and my girl a round of domestic beers, neither her nor I drank domestic, so I just handed them over to some next guys that were beside us. Sharing means caring.

Unfortunately when you repetedly refuse drinks, it kind of becomes a protocol... people will just AUTOMATICALLY assume that you will never drink.  Think of it this way... do you know of people who constantly say no to your invitation to go out, lets say to a club, bar or just out.  After a while you just stop asking that person to come along b/c you dont want to be turned down yet again.

So my suggestion is.... just take the drink, if you dont want it... there will be PLENTY of other people there that would love a free secondhand drink.  If you dont want it, pass it along.  That way you always get people asking you what you want to drink, and you could take this opportunity to say 'H2O please'...

I did say most not all....no son todos los hombres en general, there might be a few gentlemen left but those are hard to find now a days...

there are still a few gentlemen out there... not many but yeah there are a few....

so here is my opinion..

if I'm on a date (in a club) the guy is usually the one that buys me the drinks... BUT, since I'm not the type that leaves the guy broke on the first date... jijijiiji..  I'll also get him a few drinks, just to make it even.  Lets say he gets the first two drinks for both of us, then I'll get one for him, so we kind of take turns.  After the third or four drink I usually start asking for water, and since that's only 1.00 or 2.00, I let him get that....  I don't ever ask him to get me a drink, I usually just wait until he asks, if he doesn't and I'm thirsty then I just get my drinks myself.

Now, if I'm out with a bunch of friends, I don't expect anyone to get me drinks.  I have no problem with walking up to the bar and getting my own stuff.

Here goes my opinion.

I think that is maybe the man you are choosing to go out with. I have a lot of friend myself and everytime we go out every male friend offers to buy the drinks for the girls anything we want to drink, they just know us so well that they know we all usually take diet coke, so they buy a beer pitcher and a diet coke pitchel.  Every time we go to bars I don't spend a dime.  I love it, I just think you need to know the people you go out a little bit before you go to a bar with them. Make sure that they want to please you.

LadyBug, with such creativity, they'd buy you drinks AND a home!!!

I'm just kidding, though... And no, not speaking from experience. In fact, I was so not the "buy me a drink" type, that I preferred to buy it myself... or dehydrate even, if I was broke. I always felt that if they bought me something, I'd be obliged to be nice to them and so I always preferred to be free and thirsty. I was crazy that way. Same with rides home after a club: I rather took a cab than ask somebody for a ride. I was just weird that way.

Seriously, you know what I'd do: I'd start saying things like, "I'm soooo thirsty... It's really hot in here," and just to show how hot I am, I'd start unbuttoning my shirt, just a little... and then I'd run my hand, very softly, through my forehead, going down my cheek, then my throat and a little lower, and just stop just when I'm about to touch my..." You know where I'm going with this... You just have to get creative...
