I have 2 girls right now, so obviously they pretty much get the same, but obvioulsy we have to take their ages into account. One is 8 and the other one is 2. But hopefully, if i end up having a boy in the future i would want to be equal with all my kids. I have seen quite a few of my friends that have, let's say, 2 girls and one boy or 2 boys and girl, whatever, and they do treat them different. Ay que porque la nina es la unica nina they do for example bigger birthday parties and stuff. I think it has to be fair. Ur not gonna throw ur oldest because they're the oldest big parties for every birthday, meanwhile the second kid ur not gonna do the same. I think if u do for one u do for all, or if u dont do for one then u dont do it for the other either.

My PLAN is also to treat my boys equally as my girls, treat them the same, give them the same restrictions and same privileges at around the same ages… but I question myself whether I would be ABLE to do it… as a parent, you want to protect them both to the max and raised them to be good kids with good values and morals etc., … at the same time, when one has been raised with the typical latino way, it’s harder to accept certain things… For instance, it may be more acceptable/easier to take the news when your son comes home and tells you he has had sex for the first time, yet not so easy when your daughter does the same.

What were your experiences and how do you plan on raising your own kids?
This is a different place/different times. I'm buying my boys vacuum cleaners and tea sets and my girls cars and soldiers. I'll dress my boys in pink and my girls in blue.

I THINK UNTILL UR IN THE SITUATION U WONT KNOW HOW TO HANDEL IT! I GOT VERY LUCKY EN EL SENTIDO THAT I HAD MY MOM RAISE US SO WE WERE VIEWED AS EQUALS AND ME BEING THE OLDEST I ACTUALLY GOT TO DO MORE THEN THE BOYS AND STUFF PLUS LIKE MY DAD CALLS ME SOY UNA GUERRIERA SO I FOUGHT FOR EVERYTHING I MADE VALID POINTS AND HAD THE TWO BRATS BACK ME UP! BUT WHEN IT CAME TO MY DAD THE MACHO ATTIUDDE IN FULL AFFECT SO HE DIDNT LIKE IT WHEN HE FOUND OUT HIS PRINCESSA WAS MORE OF A PLAYER THEN HIS BOYS!! BUT MY PARENTS NEVER RAISED US THE TYPICAL LATIN WAY!
