I don't know where you are getting your information from, but I think that if most media companies are owned by minorities I'm pretty sure that the news would be portrayed in a much different way. Most media companies are owned by whites not minorities. so i think they are just telling the real news but some of us are too blind to accept that we have a problem in our comunities. Every community has their problems, but sometimes the media makes certain things sound more bad then it actually is, and that's how minorities get bad re****tions. I know what I'm talking about, maybe you have bought the whole everything is peaches and cream story, but I have not. If there is no discrimination in the government, then what do you think the conservatives are, and what they stand for? They're sure not here to defend Latinos, blacks, and any other minorities right that's for sure. Think about it. The government...well every government in every country does things that the people have no clue about. They do manage to keep minorities apart through something called the MEDIA, but I won't try to sell you something that you don't want to buy. I know the reality of things as do many people, and I choose to see the realities of life rather then live in the dark like soooo many people do. Perhaps one day you will see the truth, and not the lie that they have made you believe. and CRY RACIMS OR DISCRIMINATION when they tell us we are TROUBLE.

You may say that slavery is over...well I say it's not, because the government has inslaved us in a way. Why do you think that when you come to this country, and say that you have graduated from college/university they make you go back to highschool, when in fact the education back home is more advanced than it is here. I agree with you, but you have to understand that this is personal. Imagine someone getting hurt or serous personal problems because of people given the privilege of expressing there thoughts in an open media

This is the reason why Medias have strict rules to follow so that the public does not get the wrong impression and people do not get harmed by what is being said.
