No one in Toronto (other than police) needs a hand gun, in fact, they are not allowed. Canada in known as a place where hand guns are forbidden for any folk who is not a policeman or a detective. In other words, just criminal think about ever having a handgun. People are allowed to have riffles and hunt, a license is required.
I think most victims in Toronto have been shot with handguns, and most victims are (according to the pictures shown in the papers) blacks. When I say black I don't include black latinos ( for me black latinos are simply just latinos as anyother one), and I think most africans stay away from these kinds of problems.
The whole situation is sad. By the ways, the guy father of TEN was from Jamaica, according to The Toronto Star He didn't have a regular job and yet He was building a big house in the Island. I think this is a cultural problem, and I hope I'm wrong but I think most of these shooings are caused by thugs from that place. BElieve me, I have known great people from The Island, some of them are very religious christian people; but there are some that have a culture which is very hard to understand.
Well with this whole U.S. influence on Canada, obviously the kids are going to be the puppets imitating the gang thing. Canadians unfortunately are being looked upon as the American copycats. For example: "Bloodz and Crips" conflicts were highlighted in the majority of every crime in Los Angeles in the 80's and early 90's. That whole legacy saw thousands of deaths among blacks and latinos....gangsters, bystanders and men/women of the law. The little thugettes here just picked it up now and thinks it gives them a sense of belonging. Funny thing though is that in L.A., these gangs and crimes originated in ghettos. Although Toronto does have its ghettos, try comparing the ghettos of L.A. to the ghettos of Toronto...lol. WE live in paradise compared to those poor people. I even laugh at those who talk about the "hard life in the ghetto" meanwhile they live in Brampton and Mississauga! I guess its that this ghetto life is more of a style rather a "way of life" now. I know that if there were more movies and videos depicting people throwing down a good ol' fist fight instead of pussying behind a gun, kids will follow that. There was an article where the editor claimed Prime Minister Paul Martin was worried about the Lumber business with the U.S more than the killings in Toronto. Other MPs and politicians from OUTSIDE the Greater Toronto area have been b!+ching to him about it. But I honestly have to say that the only people I really feel for in all this are the innocent bystanders and the family of those killed. Those who choose to style out thug life should face what consequences come with it. Probably helps to clean up a little anyway. The necessity to prove yourself is addictive. But these people decide to prove it in an unorthodox fashion. . Some thugs would say "It's a way of life"....I simply would ask them "What life?"
I think we all have proven we're special just by beating the other million sperm cells that were racing against us to the egg...lol

Sorry to tell you, but we are already there. It's not only blacks hating on blacks, but latinos hating on latinos and whites hating on everybody. It doesn't matter what a person's background is. Anyone can commit these sort of crimes regardless of their skin colour, but everyone always assumes that a shooting is commited by a black man when in fact that black man could have been a latino black man, white, asian, and so on.
Everyone just needs to stop with the stereotyping bullsh*t. The real question is why do these people commit these crimes? The answer is not because they're black. Not all Jamaicans are out to get people, and that goes for every race for that matter. Why is it that race is always brought into these type of posts. I say we need to stop paying so much attention as to where the fack they come from, but instead concentrate on how we can stop these problems. You see this type of bull is why racism never goes away and why it will never go away, because people never grow up and leave the past in the past if you know what I mean. I know that many people say that black men are responsible for these shootings, and if in fact this is true(which I think it's not) ask yourselves what their motives are, and when you look at it many of their motives have to do with the government. The government is powerful enough to drive a man crazy to the point where they'll commit stupid crimes like these ones.
Don't be so fast to judge a book by it's cover, because for all you know there could be a white man hidding behind the black man who commited the action, but the white man is the one who set the plan.

I used to work with many jamaican guys and some of them are real followers of the Rasta movement; but others were perhaps brougth up by disfunctional families and those are the ones who have a weird way of thinking. Some of them tried to scare me with little knives or physical force. I used to tell them that if they went to my place of origin they would sh7t in their pants. Anyways, one day one of them was saying He wanted to shoot a woman,and I said to him that there was no glory in doing so,and He said I don't care I would shoot her.
And staff like that, it seems like guns give them a sick sense of power; I told the guy I wouldn't go to jail for something so stupid like that and HE said He wouldn't care and staff like that.
Well, I ended up eating jerk food and listening to reagge music ( I like the Bob Marley ones), and they were cool with me since I tried to understand them. Some africans didn't understand their behaviour, they have long got over slavery and that staff.
Anyways, I think some kids are brougth up without basic discipline and morals or honesty; that's why We are having these shooting here in Toronto the Good.
