What I don’t understand is how you can act like you are not promoting yourself when you are on Toronto Hispano almost 24/7. The truth is that you are promoting yourself; you are building ties with the Latino community that will someday eventually be supporting you. Reading this thread was a waste of time. I am very surprised that you would start a thread about this. Ask yourself what the job of a promoter is? Would you ever tell people not to come see your show because the truth is that you guys are overrated? I don’t think so. Let people do there jobs. Don’t hate be a SLUT. Rest assured, the truth will be visible at some point. If you read the first sentence of my post above, you can read "It's OK to promote and event or venue here" you what you say doesn't make sense from the beginning. Also, I am not here almos 24/7 like you say, in fact, I am not even 8/5 here, if you know what that means. I don't know how can you say we are overrated when I don't think we are even rated yet...but hey, thanks for the hint. I have never said that we are the best band or anything like that, or that I am the best musician around (unless I'm obviously joking), and if I ever say it, anybody has the right to slap me over the head and tell me to shut up (except for you of course). I am sorry if this was a waste of time for you, but if you are not a promoter, you should have gotten the message that this thread is not for you, since it is called "To the PROMOTERS". If on the other hand you are a promoter, then this thread seriously got to you and I am glad for that, regardless of what you have to say about it.
DUH-veed, I support you. You guys are the best rock band in town (After us of course), but yeah man ZIP it. Do you need a promoter ?? Call me ...

It is OK to promote an event or a venue here, but I think many people would agree that it's really not cool when someone is trying to hard. There are few things that I dislike more than fake hype, and I've seen a lot of it around here. If you guys are promoting here, please don't take the people from the forum as idiots, because they are not, and after all...sh*t still floats, so fake hype won't really do you any good in the long run, because it gets noticed and categorizes as fake. Post your ads, events, venues, and all, but please be honest!!if the party wasn't so good, then don't say it was "off the chain" or "packed", because you are going to get maybe a handful of people next week, and never again. Focus on improving the parties, not on inflating them on false grounds.
