The funny thing is that for canadians we are all spanish, icnluding mexican,spaniards,etc. They think we are the same people and don't care to know the differences between so many spanish speaking countries. They see the Spanish culture including Spain as somehow backwards. The guys at work think Spain is a poor country, including Portugal and Greece.

I have to explain to them where I am from and tell everybody I am from EL Salvador, not from Spain. FOr many of them is just the same thing. It would be nice if LAtin American countries and Spain were stronger countries, in the end We share the culture and genes with the crazy spaniards.
