ok so you got fito blanko, some dude named platano and the rookie reggaeton wanna be act of la union............ohhh and i believe carlos cruz will also perform (i luv him) but how come he is not mentioned on any tln commercials, no pics, no write up, nothing. So is this event really worth the $29 plus tax per person, same cost as last year but even then we had la ley and ivy queen. What's wrong with that picture Buff?? would you play that much to go see pretty much nothing??
No, what I'm saying is that we should start inundating TLN with e-mails and phone calls asking and demanding that they add more local bands to the roster. That's the least they could do, if they really want to put on a great show with local talent. A couple of bands, as good as they are, shouldn't cut it. And no, I wouldn't pay that money to see only two or three acts. I'd want variety (rock, salsa, bachatas, fusion, etc), which we are so lucky to have in the city, with the inclusion of more bands. Do you see what I mean?

people!!!!!! save your energy and just go to the toni reyes festival on the sunday, sleep in on saturday, do your laundry, go to a club at night and just party all day in the sun on sunday with a bunch of acts.
I don't think they're that stupid (or are they?). If they had a big act, they would be announcing that at least a month prior to the 13th. TLN was just too cheap like always to get an act. So now we're asked to pay almost $30 to see bands that we could go see for $10 at latin fever (and up closer so the spitting can reach) lol
Okay, they ARE stupid, but regardless of the fact that these TLN d*cks don't know their noses from their asses, and they're cheap as cheap can be, this could be a good thing. Truly, their intention is to not spend the money on international artists, but if you see it in a positive light, and considering that we DO have the talent in Toronto to put on a wicked show, I'd say why not? I truly belive that the talent we have in the city could match and even surpass many of the talentless idiots that we've seen and paid tons of money for. Tell you the truth, the only time I've seen local talent showcased has been at the TH anniversary party, and that was only a small token of what they're capable of doing. I'd love to see several of the amazing bands we have here, all together, in a large concert venue like Kingswood, with awesome sound and with a large crowd supporting them. It could be really, really good. We should all go and support these bands. I'm surprised, though, that some of the most recognized local bands like Ricky Franco's, Tumbao, Plan C, Dirty Maria, etc, are not participating. I wouldn't be surprised if the morons from TLN are being too cheap to pay them what they deserve, or at all, but I think they should take part. Like I said, this could really be a great concert, and it might be a way to showcase their talent on a larger scale. And again, we as the public, should support this and ask for more bands. After all, we could see these guys individually for 10 bucks, like someone said, but what are the chances that we'll see ALL OF THEM together at a venue like Wonderland? Really, people, this could be really good...
