When you are dealing with this kind of people Instinct is not enough. WE are going to be profiled WE have brown skin, WE have an accent.....that makes us part of a minority, trust me I'm not comfortable with it, but if profiling give us you some grade of "security" ....go for it.

Actually he said is he rather be profiled than dead... which I dont think its such a bad thing. I mean given the choice Id rather be neither but in this situation I dont think thats a possibility.

People as a group are irrational and dumb, (what was that thing Morpheus said in the Matrix?) So they implement these "so-called" security measures more as a dog and pony show to appeace the populace than to really catch anyone. Thats what that whole red/yellow/orange alert BS was all about, crowd control more than security.

The thing I always remember when I see stuff like this going on in the states is what my dad always says (usually after he's had a few and starts getting all "catedratico" lol)

London this London that – what happened in London is terrible and anytime anything happens to innocent people it is devastating BUT let’s not forget the men, women and children that are being killed in Iraq every day. They drop bombs and don’t care who gets killed. I say if you want peace get your troops out of a place that they should have never been in the first place. Actually the problem is a lot of the times they DONT look like lunatics, If they ran into the subway with a T-SHirt that said "Kiss Me I'm a Big Fat Terrorist" than we wouldn't be having this conversation.
