I been trying to do this for the pass 2 years, I hope i can get it done this year, thnx for the xtra info about it. X@vier P.S. do u have any pics u can share with us???
Actually no,I don't have any pic's. Funny story... well not too funny. We had taken a bunch of pic's with a camera that we bought which was water proof (a disposable one.... or so we thought) we got home and my buddie offered to develop them so he took the camera. He opened the first plastic casing to find a second plastic casing... so he opened that one to be able to pull out the "disposable" cardboard camera, little did he know that the second casing was THE ACTUAL CAMERA..... so he ruined all the pics.
Needles to say, we fed him to the pigs, to cover our tracks, yu no?
PS they have some pic's on their website

I was introduced to this by some friends last summer, we went for the weekend (get there friday afternoon, come back sunday) can't remember excactly how much I paid but it was around $250, it included ALL meals, cedar cabin, and the tours down the river (a bargain, I thought) the more of you go, the cheaper it becomes per capita, since you can share your cabin. It's about a four hour drive, near Ottawa, and you ride the Ottawa river. The $ also included 2 trips down river (both trips are different the one on sundays is the funest) 6 to 7 hours each trip, for lunch you stop over at one of the islands where they make barbecue and some other stuff (breakfast and dinner is buffet style at their retaurant) The scenery is fantastic, the people sooooo friendly, they have a huge bar/restaurant/lodge, a pool, volleyball courts, bugee jumping, a little beach, bike trails, etc. Weekends are best for young people and it gets really busy (if you know what I mean) you only need extra money for your drinks and if you want to buy the video that they make. Eeeeasy on the partying! they make you get up early (I learned the hard way, hung over in the river ain't exactly fun) Or... if you have a family... they have this package for the week (almost) you get there sunday afternoon and you head back home on friday. They have a different activity every day, monday is family rafting (gentle) tuesday i think it's a canoe trip, wednesday... I forget, thursday they entertain the kids so the adults can go on a wilder ride. I just booked mine for August, I'm taking my little boy with me this year, so I'll be going for the week package. It's a bit more per capita in my case 'cause it's just my boy and I sharing the cabin, but still, the whole thing is going cost me about $450ea. for the week, all in (txs, all meals, the cabin, and all the trips) if you have larger family each extra kid for the week is about another $220, and I think adults are about $270, I thought it was very reasonable, considering I'd be looking at over $3000 to take my kid to say... florida for a week, and I'd be forking out for all kind of trips/tours/fun It's an absolute BLAST, you wouldn't regret it, I loved it so much I had seriously considered taking their kayaking course (if only my buddies weren't such sissy's) check it out. wildernesstours.com And nooooo, I don't work for them -- Edited by Dogo at 08:07, 2005-06-29
I think weekendtrips.com has the same getaways.....
That sounds amazing. I have always wanted to do that. That's the most adventureous I'll get. Im not into bungee jumping or sky diving. I'll have to look into it.
