i don't really know about their singing. Jony Jon is ok on the cd and you can hear that they fixed his voice but live he's kinda an oddball with his tuning. the white kid with the weird face sings ok but he tries to do too much playing around with his voice. good luck to tumbao

Hey Tumbao is really cool!!!! I went to two of their shows and i really liked what i saw. They're all great dancers, the girl sang really nice, and the band was hype. Good job to all of them...I think they need a little more interaction with the crowd but besides that, they sounded awesome. I bought the CD and i need it signed, so for next show im gonna be right in there bugging them to SIGN MY CD!!! And for all the haters, just relax and enjoy the show OK!

I think all the Tumbao boys are single, xcpt G who married, but he's older now. they are performing this saturday at the docks.. along with fito blanko(N) and don omar... and its suppose to be a crazy show, so if you want to check that out, they are performing there... its an all day thing from 1 to 10 i think and $35 advance and $40 at the door cash only.. and they are also performing july 22 at LATIN FEVER!!!! so check that out... and yeah i dunno if they are single??? does anyone know i really wanna know

It was hype.....and to the girl who sings who is she?....she sounds amazing but she appears out of nowhere, its kinda funny maybe they should introduce her or something.....

Tumbao has my vote as well, they are to me one of the best local merengue band in T.O. at the moment. I whent to the show this friday, my friends and I had a realy good time. I also can't wait to see my Favorite solo artist perform...formally a member of Banda Bella, EL MAS BELLO...."ALEX", when is your CD release party ????? I hope is soon!!!! I thought it was in June? The single "Amor Mio" that I got, is over played in my car, I love it and ca't wait to listen to the rest of your work...

I don't know how Banda Bella's name got into all this but all i can say is that after listening to the album and watching live video footage, i can honestly say Tumbao sounds better then any other Merengue Band in Toronto including Mr. Anthony V who to my opinion had the best Merengue sound.

I'll agree Banda Bella was never set out to be the best singing band out there, our job was entertain the people, make them part of the show and tease the ladies, and i can say it worked just fine.

No disrespect to Anthony V, Juan Miguel, Dominicana or even my own Banda Bella but my vote as an all around band goes to Tumbao.

Keep up the good work guys and don’t listen to the haters.

I agree thats yah an opinion but in this case ... she is right when she says why go if you just going to make fun of them! they are obviously doing something right if they have people wanting them and they are still performing!!!!! i am not taking any sides.. i did not go that friday , but my friend went and said that they were good sang amazing. why critize if "someone thinks" that they suck fine... PROVE IT SHOW US DIFFERENTLY... prove me wrong show me what you can do!!!..lol...

Everyone see's things differently...and everyone has different tastes.......The key is just to respect peoples opinions and constructive critisisms and try to be open minded. I want to add that Tumbao Inc is not just myself.

I have a team of GREAT guys, talented and DRIVEN as I am, working alongside, specially, Jonny Jon, who is a very good composer, and has in my opinion amazing stage presence and charisma to become a star in his own right, whether today or tomorrow, Jonny Jon is a key ingredient in our sound today. For those who do not know, Jonny Jon is Yohan Astacios' stage name.

Chris G, is also a key member of our team, excellent voice and persona.

The rest of our front guys are Mike Melo, Christian Aviles and Hector Morales. (Very good dancers and back up vocalists (see the video for yourselves)

Our closest team members, Ambioris (que Guira), Junior Santos (Congas), Domingo Mora (Tambora), Diego Bravo (awesome bassist), Gustavo C and Rob Dixon on Trumpets, Alex N and Bernardo on Saxes that evening, Ricky Serpa and Michelle, my pals, for your unconditional support, Vanessa Garcia for the voices, a special thank you to Steve from that EXCELLENT Bachata band Xtasis!!!!, Great job bud... etc... etc. etc... many people that have also kindly supported us and wish to see us do well.

We have a vision, I just happen to be the chauffer of that vision, but without the team in place, we wouldn't be as well positioned to tackle the challenges ahead.

at confu. i agree with you on how the boyz should have interact more with the audience, but remember this was their first time performing. its only natural for someone to get more comfortable in interacting with the audience when they get more experience. its not easy dancing and singing at the same time. so give em a brake, they did fine
