OMG LA Gears, Patrick Ewings. I remember those. Remember the Champions that were suede and different colors or British Knights (BK's). Those lasted like 6 months.

Chale and QCL----no girls, I think those bells were reffered to as housers!!!!! Hahaha, remember, the bigger and baggier......oh man, that was hilarious! Oh wait, what about wearing your hair in a bun with ringlets (loaded with hairspray), and tons of scrunchies! @Caliche, thats ghetto!!! Hahaha, but oh so true.........
I have to admit I wore the ringlets and buns with the big shirt and the scrunchies and slouch socks (My socks would match my scrunchies and tops) I also had the fila runners (with the big strap hanging at the back) and a black pair of Patrick Ewings which had the big strap at the back
I went thru the different fads, from wearing the lace glove on one hand and the bunch of plastic bracelets (like madonna), mind u I was a little kid back then, but fashionable. Then in the 90's the houser style definately. I cant say ever really dressed like a Gina or a Rocker, even though I listened to all types of music. I did also went through my construction boots and plad shirt stage, never bandanas though. Man, so many fads so little time to try them all.
