I wrote a reply before but it didnt post.  Sorry, back from an exhausting long weekend.  I love Rock Latino.  It is true that when Momentos first opened in 1997, on St. Clair,  the music was 90% Rock.  It was amazing, you had rock and a little bit of everything else (Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Reggae, R&B, etc.)  It was the best.  Then when they moved to Yorkville, to the first location, it was still pretty happening with Rock, but when they moved to the location they are at now, Im sorry to say, but in my opinion, they sold out.  They started playing all the music that i can hear at any other spanish club, even at house parties.  I went to Mana once, but argentinian cumbia is not necessarily my idea of spanish rock.  When i went they played mostly argentinian cumbia, some merengue, salsa, reggaeton, english, and the ocasional rock song.  So Mana wasnt my thing, especially after that big comotion.  I heard Sur plays a lot of rock, so that's one place I will have to check out.  And it is true about the rock concerts, the few that i have heard of have had pretty good turn outs.  I do remember the WATCHA tour, I was there front row.  My favourite performances that night were Juanes and Molotov.  I think the crowd is there but the clubs will start out rock and end up typical spanish clubs.  Lo mismo de siempre.

I just love Rock Latino and if you ask me there is just NOT enough of it in Toronto!  In recent years there have been some really good concerts and a few clubs but not enough for my taste!  The demand in Toronto seems to be there because every latin rock concert that I have been to has been packed.  I hear that some really great bands are very expensive to bring so that may be the reason????????

Aqui otro roquero.  Espero que se haga un lugar donde se pueda disfrutar del rock, ya se ha intentado varias veces, pero a veces se ha hecho en dias de semana y muchos rockeros tenemos que trabajar.

I've seen Dirty MAria before At the CErvejaria. Not too many showed up, We have to support these groups or rockers will play other kind of music.

I 've always wished there was a place where We could enjoy Rock and pop en espanol, I know there are guys out there who play but have to do other kind of jobs to survive.

By the way, in El Salvador We also enjoy Rock and Pop, both in ENglish and Spanish.

I hope some one brings the WATCHA TOUR again, do you guys remember it?, ese dia vinieron:

La Ley, Enanitos VErdes, MOlotov, Juanes, y otro grupo muy bueno.

Yo creo que si tiene futuro. Somos muchos Argentinos, Chilenos, Uruguayos, Peruanos, Mexicanos, Colombianos que nos gusta el rock en espan~ol. Solo que no hay un lugar fijo en toronto que nos de esa musica.

Ya es hora de que alguien tenga una noche de rock en espan~ol no creen???
