That is so true, the few times that in typical spanish club they have played a rock song, i start dancing all over the place and everyone looks at me like im green and have 5 horns sticking out of my head.  And they play like Mana stuff, which everyone should know.  So imagine if you were to go to Que Chula Friday's and they start playing "De Musica Ligera" or "Cuando Pase el Temblor" (both Soda Stereo songs)?  Yo creo que me sacan a patadas.

Oh I agree I know it's sort of hit and miss and you don't want to make a huge mistake.  La Ley put on a wicked show and I know they must have been wondering why Toronto sucks so bad but hey I was there waving my CHILE flag screaming like a crazed woman.

Los Prisioneros, Los Fabulosos, La Mosca and WATCHA tour were all packed though so I guess it's just a matter of bringing the right band.  Juanes for example would be a VERY smart move.

yeah I know God it's soooooo depressing!!!  I could not believe the last Latin Fest....they had La Ley which totally fills up stadiums in Latin America and the United States, won grammy awards and here there were not even 200 of us watching them?????????  The two concerts that I mentioned though were TOTALLY packed and oh god did you miss two REALLY great shows.  It is true that Latin Vibes is looking to start bringing acts here and Los Prisioneros was like a trial type of thing.  I know she (Gisel) really wanted to try for Juanes but they are really pricey so who knows if it will happen.  Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope that someone in T.O brings one of these AMAZING bands....until then I will have to travel to Chile to see people

Ive even had the idea to start a rock/pop night like the clubs in Cancun but Ive always been hesitant due to the little demand Ive seen at these places.

I unfortunately did not get a chance to go to los Fabulosos Cadillacs or Los Prisioneros, im sure I would have loved it.  I hope this Juanes thing is true cause I love him, being from the same place as him.  MANA would just be the best thing ever, but its true, it costs a lot of money for a group of that status, and they are used to crowds of 1,000 +, filling up whole stadiums and everything, and i dont think in TO they would find that.  So sad, but true, i dont think we'll be seeing them here any time soon.
