Three reasons

1) they are attracted to the excitment

2) they think they can change them or he will change

3) phycological.

in short if you are a nice guy, expect to be put in the
friends category real fast.

Young girls look for the Exciment for the adventure so that's why they like bad boys they know they are goin go have fun but as they grow they look for the protector.....very natural.....
