That's the one!! wow, they are lindos!!

And yes, i agree with you..it's very important to embrace your roots, and culture. Too bad that it is being lost. For me at least, traditions are still being played out in my family, so the little ones there still see it in abundance and the beauty it brings to their heritage.

I used to dance with a group, we used to perform in harbourfront...man those were the days.

I think i'd join a group now if it were available. It's so fun and educational...because you get to see bit and pieces of the rest of the world. So nice.

I'm actually quite involved with folklore music and dance only because I think it's important that people don't forget their roots, especially those who were born here or came to Canada very young. I remember it being a lot more visible amongst the communities 10, 15 years ago, but something is happening, something is definitely being lost. I wish there was a way to get people more involved, especially young people, because I believe very firmly that if you embrace your past and your traditions, your identity becomes stronger as you become the men/women you're supposed to be.

I love folklore music and I wish we as Latin American loved it and admired as much as everyone else from other cultures do. I see how people of other cultures are in awe of Latin America and their music, and the colour in our costumes and the richness of our culture, and we just take it for granted.
