I really don't mind women doing the first move since I'm the silent -shy type (once I know them is another story) . But it has to be in a femenine way; yet, I must be sure she is interested and of course I must be attracted to her in order to start something.
There's nothing wrong in girls taking the initiative. Remember, sometimes beautiful women have to do this since sometimes men find them unreachable and untouchable.
I agree it is cool for the girl to make the 1st move, shows confidence. Nothing wrong with it. Some guys like it.
I made the 1st move ONLY ONCE, and I was sooooo SHY!!..It turned out great, but we broke up after couple of months. I dont think I will make another 1st move on a guy, just cus I am really shy.
I'm all for girls doing the first move.......when i was younger I was really shy and it was the only way i would get soom action . The only reason i had g/f's is because they always made the first move.

Sorry guys I am very open minded about everything and some of you who know me are aware of this. But in this I am pretty old fashioned.
Definatelly the man has to make the first move. I am not saying that you can not flirt with the guy right but he has to be the one making the first move. That is just my opinion off course.
I have been in a relationship for 9 years, and when I talk to my boyfriend he always tells me that what he liked when he first saw me was that I was hard to get and very confident about myself.
I am not saying that everyguy is the same off course. But I have never done the first move, but definatelly don't think less of women that have.

Making the first move (as a girl) is fine. Some guys like it. And if the guy get's 'turned off' by the girl making the first move, i say he just saved you from making any more mistakes with this guys.

Yes, I remember specific ocassions that I was asked out by girls. I think it's good for a woman to be confident enough to make the first move on a guy - and like you said, takes the pressure away from the guy. One of the girls actually told me in no uncertain terms that she wanted to be my gf. Although I had shown interest for that girl in the past, the time had come and gone and although she did not get a relationship out of it - she finally knew and was able to move on... On another occasion she showed interest and approached me, we talked, as time passed we eventually started dating for a bit... Women make your moves, don't be shy!!!

It depends on the guy... If he is a machista, then chances are he will want to make the first move and initiate everything, which is cool with me!!
However, if he is not machista, then guys do appreciate when the girl makes the first move. Its shows confidence and also that she's interested enough in the guy to make the first move.
I've done it before, no biggie. Guys are pretty receptive to it. I say its a "DO" (just make sure the guys not a machista... cuz then its a turn off for them... So I've been told by my guy friends)
