love love love to cook and invent new dishes- if there were only an egg and a few other mystery items left in the kitchen i could probrably create something really wicked! I love doing groceries preparing the dishes and more than anything watching people's reactions as they taste the food! Having fresh or quality ingredients always help take things to the next level!
You'd be a wicked friend to have... How you doing!?

my dad was so spoiled growing up, every one of his brothers and sisters had their own personal maid, he didn't learn how to do anything till he was 30, even had all his clothes laid out for him every day.. he's an awesome cook though now and he knows how to take care of himself
we had maids growing up too... but everyone needs to know how to take care of themselves it's an important life skill

It means that what your reading.
My family & it's mentality is obviously diffrent from others. My parents believe that thier kids should live with them untill they get married & go do their own life. Many Europeans & Spanish families are like this. What so wrong with it......I don't seem to understand the problem??
I think people mis understand my posting or I come across rude, but to me it has absolutly nothing, nothing to do with me being loaded, it's just how we are as a family.
People make me laugh.

@ Genie: High Five to you - just because! ... Seems we were raised similarly.
@ Phanthasma: Agree on the cooking being fun, and like yourself, I am not very dish-cleaning-friendly! I'd rather cook for 2 hours than wash dishes for 10 minutes EVEN if there is a washer!

I think cooking is one of those things that unless you cook you dont understand how much fun it is. I've noticed people who dont cook never seem to understand why some people love it and people who cook cant imagine how anyone wouldnt love it...
I love to cook, Its a great creative outlet and at the end of it u get to eat your creation!!! (and I cook WELL too!) I hate the clean up after though so Confundida's deal sounds good to me!

I guess I understand your point of people in Ecaudor, but I've never had that problem. @ Genie.......Spoiled Brats??? Hahaha......WHY??? Well all I can say is that life is easy for me & very comfortable so my ways of seeing life & expectations can be a lot diffrent then many here. My parents take care of me (which they should & will untill I get married) & I've never been expected to learn or do any chores in my life, so I won't be doing any unless I have to, then I'll consider me learning."
I think this pretty much explains it all... it just all depends how you were brought up - if you could afford and able to have a life with maids and caretakers more power to you - enjoy that life. However, I think all kids should be taught the basic life skills that are cooking, cleaning, and ironing... not that you have to actually do it if you can afford to have it done for you, just having the skill and ability to do it is good to have in case it does become a necesity later on in life.
